Hammontree's Take Home Gourmet is the area's only Grilled Cheese Restaurant. They are a growing to be a destination spot in Fayetteville. They feature made from scratch soups, gourmet hot dogs and organic salads amongst their delicious options, but it's the grilled cheese that will draw you back time after time.
You can "Build a Melt" and choose from one of their 17 cheeses, including gouda, wild mushroom goat cheese or New York Sharp Cheddar. With add-ons like pulled pork, prosciutto, smoked turkey, tomato bruschetta, grilled onions, poblano peppers and spreads like garlic cilantro, herb mayo or green mole you will certainly find a taste combination that melts you.

If you're not up to creating your own, there's plenty of starting points off their menu. Here's a few favorites: 

• Caprese Melt - Fresh Mozzarella, pesto, tomato bruschetta, fresh basil leaf and the house cheese blend on sourdough.
• The Scarlet Cheddar - New York Sharp Cheddar, 24 month vintage cheddar, seriously sharp white cheddar, smoked turkey and herb mayo on European multi-grain
• Ozark Monte Cristo - Pit smoked ham, baby swiss and havarti, grilled 'French Toast' style on thick cut jalapeno corn bread
• Cheebacca - Sharp White Cheddar, House Cheese blend, bacon, pulled pork, grilled onions and garlic cilantro sauce on sourdough

If Hot Dogs are your craving, dive into one of the many specialty dogs, including ones made with "Grilled asiago and spinach chicken sausage", Locally made Chorizo sausage, The Quarter pound all-beef frank Chicago Dog, or the Shroom Dog (pictured) with cracked fennel and pork sausage.
